Default 2.5 Teraflex lift

Am getting ready to have a 2.5 Teraflex lift done on my 2013 2-dorr. Was surprised to learn I have to either use spacers or get new aftermarket wheels. Could someone explain how lifting the JK makes a difference in the wheel type.

It's not the lift. It's putting on wider tires on a stock rim due to the backspacing.

^ they assume when you do a lift that you'll want to change your tire size. If not then the wheels/ spacers doesn't apply to you.

From what I remember on installing mine, the longer links in the rear will rub the stock tires if you don't change your backspacing. I was told you at least need spacers.

How do I know what wheel spacers to purchase. I was told that I had to use spacers or get aftermarket wheels. Wheels are out of my budget right now.

What size tires are you planning on running?

I agree with the 1.5" Spydertrax spacers. I have the Tereflex 2.5" lift and the spacers and all is great after 3 years.

Yeah I was told I would need spacers if I lifted my 4 door rubi with the teraflex 2.5", even if I stayed stock wheels and tires. I wanted to run the stock tires and wheels for a bit to save up for the replacements, not to mention she is riding on brand new BFG MTs. The passenger rear sway bar link seems a little close to the rim, but I'm not planning any huge flexing for awhile, and she is riding great now! I have nothing against spacers, I actually love the look, but I'm hearing that discount tire in Vegas won't touch, let alone warrant, tires if spacers are involved.
