I completely agree... I personally like the rake...

I'm running the TF 2 1/2" BB and haven't had any issues with the kit itself. As the idiot I am... did hit a big hole way to fast and busted the front right factory shock and shock extension... they snapped... so I've since replaced my front shocks with Rubicon Express shocks... rears will be replaced soon. But as far as the kit goes... it's solid.

If your gonna get rid of the rake check what the price of spacers are and the 2.5"BB kit or price of 2.5"coil lift!

I installed the 2.5 BB w/shocks and love it. It's K.I.S.S. simple to install with basic tools. With the talk of an extra spacer to level out the nose it should be fine with factory bumper and no winch. However, if someday you get "the bug" and add an aftermarket bumper and winch you may want to consider removing the spacer and adding beefier springs. I called TF and Northridge4X4 about adding a spacer and they recomended 2.5" coil springs, which I installed. Looking back a 3/4" spacer wouldn't have raised the nose up enough for the added weight of the bumper/winch. still woulda had spring sag.

I started off with this kit... Actually the one with shocks and it was great. I also had 1.25" spacers on the stock wheels to give it a more aggressive stance. It worked out great!

You will have a slight shift in the axles but nothing worth troubling over. As you see there are plenty of folks on here who've owned the TF BB kit.

I just finished installing this kit, and now that I have worked out the kinks, I am quite happy with it. The only real problem I ran into is that the trackbar bracket doesn't line up properly, and required me to make a run to the store to buy something to bore out the hole a little. They also shorted me a 3/8" bolt for the trackbar bracket, which I also picked up. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice if they would fix it, as it has been a problem for a long time judging by other posts I have read on here.

With help from a buddy, maybe an afternoon and a 12 pack

I did it in my driveway and with interuptions and "honey-do" crap falling on me, about 7 hours. Most people can get it on in a lot less time.

Hmmmmmm. I will double that time then, I have three distractions, 2 boys and a wife. I suppose I'll need jack stands and a floor jack. (and a 12 pack)
