2.5BB Install Help/Suggestions
Hi All,
I will be installing my Rough Country 2.5BB lift with shocks soon. I wanted to ask the group about the size of the floor jack and jack stands needed. I have a 2 ton set that I'm thinking will not provide me enough clearance. What did you use?

Good luck post some pics when you're done
I used a 2 ton and a 3 ton floor jack with a concreate block under one. Had to lean the spare tire on the 3 ton handle to keep it from tipping while I was jerking around on the Jeep .
PLEASE DO NOT DO IT HOW I DID!!!!!!

Thanks for the tips, Just went out and bought some hi-lift jack stands. So I have this set, my old 2ton set, and a 2 1/4 ton floor jack. I think I should be good. Thanks for your help on this. I'm doing it by myself and didn't want to get stuck with the jeep in the air.
Good luck on the lift, worst case if you cant get the wheel/tired back on, jack the axle up, that happened to me with my 2.5 ton SUV jack. Other than that it was fine as long as you got it high enough.
Hopefully I will see you around Lox, my brother lives there and I am driving down from NY in Jan/Feb, hope theres some places to wheel around there!

Good luck on the lift. I have done a couple now. The first one was a pain until I figured out that I could get a little more extension on the brake lines by turning the wheel that direction. It should give you just extra room to get the springs back in.
lol at least you used a concrete block..I used a 3 foot section of a 4x4 (4x4 fence post they come in like 12ft lengths at home depot)...everytime I pumped the jack I heard the wood cracking...it was a bit nerve racking to say the least.
I actually used just the scissor jack and some standard size jack stands. It was a pain because I couldnt let the jack down until I took the wheels off because the jack stands were not tall enough to give me room. It just made things take longer, but still very doable.
Just remember to get a coil compressor!
