Default 2" budget boost?

I just put new 275/70/R18 Wrangler Silent Armors on my '07 Sahara Unlimited 4dr. Great all around tires for the weather / wheeling environment here in Tahoe. I'm surprised that several other folks running 33" rubber aren't having any rubbing issues - mine rub quite a bit at full turn and I'm assuming will rub even more with articulation. What are people running for 2" budget boosts? I saw the Teraflex install in the FAQ section, but am curious what else people are happy with.

Did you put the tires on your stock wheels? You need wheel spacers to correct the rubbing. A lift will only help when off road under heavy articulation.

Yes, the tires are on the stock 18" rims. Based on other posts, it looks like I need 1.5" spacers. Thanks.

For what it's worth...

After reading the boards and consulting with my local jeep mechanic, I decided to install the Teraflex 2.5" budget boost + new shocks to correct the rub (at full turn) with my 275/70/R18 Wrangler Silent Armors. The mechanic confirmed what many others on the board say - that the boost + shock extenders work OK for onroad, but he said you'll be disappointed if you use the extenders and do anything beyond driving down a dirt road. The kit has fixed the rub and the ride is great. Haven't had a chance to take it offroad yet.

And it looks better too...right!!

Just an fyi....check your drivers side rear wheel for clearance on the sway bars...mine was awful close with a little rubbing offroad. You can either use spacers, get new wheel with more BS or adjustable track bar or relocation bracket like the BDS if this is a problem on yours. Mine was a 2dr and a 2008, that may make a difference.

Ha, yes, looks much better! I'll keep an eye on the rear wheel rub. I haven't been offroad since installing the lift. I did notice some other folks mentioning that with the Teraflex bb, tho. Thanks for the info.
