2 door JK's with a 3" lift or higher
How does your rear driveshaft look? Anything like this? It started off with barely noticeable vibs, only when accelerating, and withing the last week, its now making metallic grinding noises, and viberating alot more...
I called J.E. Reel my driveshafts should be here soon. I'm just Curious to see of anyone else has had any problems yet.
I've put about 7,000 miles on the JK since the lift.

the jeeps ran flawlessly, awesome ride, and very smooth. Until just this week. I'm starting to wonder, If giving the time, all 2 door JK's lifted are going to have this problem.

Nothing yet but I am only at 2400 miles. I did notice a slight vibe under acceleration after the lift was installed.
I am concerned with my Teraflex 3" lift since it is more like 4".
Any problems with the vibration causing pinion seal failure?

Just keep an eye on that boot, i think part of the problem is, once the boot goes, the lubrication gets thrown out, and it destroys the bearings.
Hopefully the driveshafts come in today

Shock length definately plays a part in this. How long are your shocks?
The further the axle drops, the more chance you have in 'pinching' the boot because of the severe drive line angle.
I know some manufactureres include very long shocks with their kits.....usuallly a lot longer than the differece in the amount of lift their kits give. Meaning, if you have a 3" lift, the shocks should only be 26.25" long because the stock Rubicon rear shock is 23.25". I see a lot of shocks that are over 27" long (ie. Teraflex @ 27.5")! This will cause the axle to drop too far and pinch the driveline boot.
Words for thought.
