2 door "trunk"
Hey all,
just shooting a question out there. I know 2 door wranglers arent known for trunk space, but i was just wondering, how do you guys make the best of it without taking the seats completely out? when the back seat folds down, it no longer anchors in the back, so it just flops around. (Is that normal?) Last season, i kept my golf clubs on the back seat, and accesed them by folding up my front pass seat to grab them. Am i just complaining about the unavoidable? Or does someone have a creative solution to maximizing that area so i can more easily just slide my clubs in the back?, without having my back seat bounce up and down on them when its folded up?
TIA!

What you're seeing is normal. There's a bracket from DieTech Off-road that will lock the seat in the 'up' position. I don't have a set of clubs so I can't say if they'd fit behind the rear seat or not. It's certainly a struggle with larger items and the 2 doors but coming from the previous generation TJ, these are very spacious. I'm curious if you could set them across the rear- behind the seatbelts between the rear of the seat and the tailgate bar. I've seen plywood shelves made for that space to where you could open the window, set them in, and close the window.
The seat retainer looks like exactly what im looking for! Just never knew it existed, im gunna be ordering that! And as for behind the seat, that may work, but i have the soft top on 80% of the year, so unzipping that rear window every time gets annoying (i know i know, getting nit picky now lol) plus when i have the top down, that spot would be used up. Ill give the bracket a shot and give some reviews when its in. Thanks a lot!
There's one on eBay now, it may be cheaper than trying to order from a vendor. Best of luck with the bracket- I'm curious how well it works so I can buy or build one.
