2" Front coils lift, will it be 2 inches of lift?
My Jeep with its ARB Bull bumper now measures from the ground to the center edge of the fender 35 inches in the front and 37 inches in the back. I have ordered a 2" lift front coil springs from procomp which I figured would make it level, eliminating the factory rake and the effects of the bumper. But after I ordered it I thought to jack up the front 2 inches to see what the effects would be. I like the effect it should have on the front end but I also noticed that the back end will go down 1/2 of an inch(fulcrum effect), thus making my front a 1/2 inch higher than the back.
My question is will the coil springs really raise it 2 inches or will the effect of the weight on a longer spring mean that it will compress more?
If it will be a full 2 inch lift does anyone have any ideas what would be best way to get my rear back up a 1/2 inch to a 3/4 inch on a tight budget and limited mechanical skills? Or better yet will it look and function just fine with the front sticking up a little? I know looks are a matter of opinion. Thanks for your input.
