Default 2" Lift or 2" Spacer ?

I have a 2009 Unlimited. Looking for help.

Was quoted a price of $1200 for 2" lift installed. Lifetime Warranty - Reputable Jeep place in Mayland

Or, should I just put 2" wheel spacer with 33's and call it a day. The Jeep place advised the wheel spacers need to constant attention and is only a question of time before they fail.

Just looking for a beefy stance, I am not an off-road guy, hence 33's and 2" lift.

Thanks for the help in advance

Go with spacers. I have TF BB and it kicks some tail.

I've run 1.5 Spidertrax spacers now for almost 2yrs with no problems, ask that guy what the "Constant Problems" are with spacers. If you use locktite on them when you install them and just check them when you rotate your tires you will be fine.

You do realize wheel spacers are not the same as a lift? They just move the wheels outboard. If you are looking to lift you want a spring spacer aka Budget Boost. The spacer lift will get you the look you are going for and be less expensive than a coil lift.

I think what the OP is asking is what's the better option:

1 - 2" lift, or

2 - Going to 33" tires, which would necessitate wheel spacers.

Option 2 will get you more ground clearance, and if you go Spidertrax you won't have any problems with the spacers.

Option 1 will get you more articulation - which you probably won't need if you're only going with stock or 33" tires.

Default Great Advice

Thanks for all the advice. Just checked, Spidertrax, $99 for set of 4. But they are 1.5, will that be enough?

Thanks in advance

Default ???

Instead of Spidertrax spacer, could I just buy a rim with a different offset? If so, what should I go with?

I like the Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S tires

What size?
33 x 10 1/2 x 15
33 x 12 1/2 x 15

I have not purchased rims yet, but told 15" are much cheaper. Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance
