yep, I think I am going to start with that as well.
I am headed to the Swap meet in Puyallup, Wa the 11th of March, hope to pick up some big tires and rims there.
Should be fun.

So they are not equal in parts you get for the money. Somewhat misleading to say they are the same other then price.

If you plan on adding weight up front plan accordingly; see my post regarding sagging with the AEV 2" lift

If only lifting 2", I'd think that you aren't at a point to where you really need to think about extensions and extended bumpstops.

But...its your Jeep, so get what you want.

Again be carefully with generalizations some shocks depending on age may not take well to not having the shock extensions. Shocks could get overworked and or give a crappy ride. Also if you have a 2012 those extensions and bumpstops become more important due to drive shaft clearance issues.

I just helped a buddy put a "2" Old Man Emu lift from Northridge his 2012 2 door JK.
Pretty easy install, took about 2 hours.
Actual lift turned out to be 3.5" rear and 4" front!!!

Not bad for medium rate springs.
Ride feels as good as stock with less sway in sweeping turns.

I have to assume it will sag a little over time, my OME HD springs have sagged about 1/2" over the past 4 years.

Is that with or without added weight on front or back, i.e. winch, bumpers, etc,.

$899.00 for the AEV 2.5? Is it that much better then the TF 2.5? Kinda interested because I am running 33's and need a lift for my trip to Moab this July. Can't go any higher then this because on a good day I am 5ft 8. I don't mind paying to dough but just curious if this is the best lift for that height..

Teraflex Leveling Kit. Toyo 33.5" tires on stock wheels and stock shocks.

And the same setup, just with some Xenon flat fenders added.

I hope he addressed the drive shaft clearance issue. With that much lift he will definitely tear the boot
