2" Mopar Lift Kit
Hey guys, I have had my Jeep a couple months now and am slowly making it my own. I have installed a Mopar CAI and a nice set of Goodyear Duratracs on my stock wheels. My next purchase will be the lift kit. I have been looking around for a little bit and have my sights set on the 2" Mopar Lift. I work at a Chrysler Dealership and from what my service and parts manager say it will be included in my factory warranty. For the money it looks like a very complete kit. Has anybody installed one on their jeep or have any experience with them? I can get it for 1300 with the Bilstein Shocks. Let me know what everyone thinks!

Definitely overpriced. For comparison, you can get a 2.5 kit from TeraFlex w/ Bilstein shocks for $800ish and add lower control arms and still come in less than $1300. I might be wrong but I think the Mopar kit uses cam bolts. Just some food for thought.
Everything is more expensive in Canada lol. We typically pay more for everything up here. The only reason I am considering it is because all the parts are covered under the 5 year powertrain warranty.
I am new to the world of jeeping. Whats the deal with cam bolts?
They are a cheap way to adjust the castor angle. You basically cut into the mounting brackets to install the bolts. They can shift or come loose and cause damage. Many people run them, so don't think they are a death trap. If you go that route and decide later to add new control arms, you will have to weld the brackets. So the best option, though more expensive upfront, is to go with new adjustable lower control arms. You can also run the kit without the bolts and without arms and see how it feels to you.

But if you work for the dealer you already should know that. Can't you get a break on the price?
And that is why it's twice the price. I have been going through the same thing with my JKU. Dealer wants $3200. for a 3" "Mopar" lift installed . have been quoted half that by independent dealers . Paid good money for that warranty and hate to loose it by going away from the dealer.
