Default +2 shocks on stock suspension

My JK 2 door is in dire need of new shocks(300km on stock shocks). Due to financial restrictions (my wife) I can't not upgrade the jeep with a full lift and shocks like I want right away. It will need to happen in stages. Can I already purchase a +2 shock setup and run with the stock springs/etc for now without damaging? Thanks for your feedback everyone.

Mismatched shocks could change the suspension geometry a bit but otherwise I don't see a problem. Why don't you take them all off the truck and check them as you might be surprised and see they still work if there is no oil leak around the shaft. Then replace what is worn with stockers for now. Also check FB and put a want ad on our site as you may get some Rubicon takeoffs cheap for all 4 corners. I gave mine away. Local 4WP shop if near you may have some takeoffs.

on pavement definitely not a big deal. if the shock body is longer you might lose some uptravel during articulation offroad.

Well something is worn out. Either shocks or springs. This thing bottoms out like crazy with virtually no load in it. If you are with a 2-3 people is almost sketchy to drive.

That sounds like blown shocks.

Shocks it was. Found a fresh set of Rubicon take offs and she rides like a dream now.

Thanks for the follow-up. Glad you got it figured out and hopefully several thousand trouble-free miles ahead!
