2" Suspension System by Old Man Emu?
I am considering the 2" Suspension System for medium to heavy loads by Old Man Emu over the Teraflex leveling kit. Does anyone have any experience with Old Man Emu or recomendations either way? Will the Old man Emu system level my JK?
There are a lot of people on here running this lift. You will get a better response if you are more detailed in what you are looking for out of the OME lift beside a level ride height.
What type of off roading are you planning on doing?
What size tires do you plan on running?
Are your going to add Bumpers front and/or rear also a winch?
Do you tow anything with you Jeep?

How much lift do you actually want?
The TF leveling kit will give you 2" in front and 1" in back. (because it uses spacers, not coils)
Those heavy ome coils will give somewhere in the 3-4" range, depending on model and added weight. The TF 2.5" coil kit will give 3-3.5". The TF 3" coil will give 4-5". You just can't compare the lift heights of spacers and coils.

The OME lift is very nice and a more than capable lift when used in conjunction with adjustable track bars...the heavy duty rate springs and all often net closer to 3.5 inches of overall lift. If that works for you, go for it. It's one of the best riding on-road lifts you can get
I do plan on adding bumpers later on. Most likely a stubby on the front with a winch and a rear with a tire holder. My offroading will be moderate to begin with since I am new to Jeeps. I live in Hawaii so not much mudding near me. They say I live in a dessert??? We do have some rock crawling, sand and loose rock trails. Plus I may be moving to a state with snow and mountains. I don't plan on doing much rock crawling. Yet!
I am going to put on 285/75 R 16 ATs on 16 X 8 ATX teflon Chambers. I am torn between DC FC-IIs or Duratracs. Another question I have is will a 33" spare tire tear up my tail gate? I was thinking of replacing the spare mount with an Olympic tail gate mount. Will I need to replace the third brake light? I don't plan on towing anything. These are all things plus more that I will do to the X Unlimited I plan to buy next year. With the mods I plan I can't see a need to buy the Sahara or Rubi? Here is the order I think the mods should be done?
1. Add either the Teraflex leveling kit or a 2" to 3" lift, 33" tires on 16X8 wheels and step rock slides. (The day after I drive off the lot.)
2. Add two fog lights on the front bumper and two pencil lights on windshield brackets. (Christmas gift from my sons)
3. Replace front bumper with a stubby winch bumper. Replace back bumper with tire carrier bumper. (one year later)
4. Remove carpet from intirrior and Rhino coat the floor through out. (two years later)
5. New seats. (three years later)
6. Bigger engine and new front and rear end big lift and tires. (Years down the road)

I've been running this lift for the last few months.....well since about 2 weeks after I got my jeep haha
I really like it. It's a great lift. Although it claims you don't need and adjustable track bar, it's worth getting. I just added mine a few weeks ago, it was a huge improvement.
Before getting your lift decide which will work best for you. I got the standard duty springs for a 2 door, since I have a 2 door. I have since added a Warn Winch and Bumper. I now need the heavy duty springs to level the jeep back out since my front is a little low.
Great product with great quality.
If you decide to go light duty I have a set of frong springs that'll be for sale soon

Sooo, if your plans don't include 40's, D60's and an Atlas, do yourself a favor and start with a Rubicon...

You haven't bought it yet, and you are already planning mods specifically for driving it off-road. you're moving from a BB toward a 3-4" coil lift. Bumpers and winch are on the list.
