Default 2008 OEM Remote Start . Ignition Help

I have a 2008 JK Rubi Unlimited with an AEV Hemi conversion, done at a dleaership in Alberta.

The factory remote start will honk but not start, it just clicks, then nothing.

I am also having issues with the keys and ignition. 95% of the time, no problem. The other 5% it starts to turn over, but no ignition. Remove keys, open door, close door and the try again, fires up.

Suggestions?

Check to make sure the dealership reinstalled the kill switch that disables the remote start with the hood open. It should be mounted to the underside of the hood. That's probably the problem with the remote start.

Your other no start problem might be a camshaft sensor.

I'd take it back to the selling dealer in a heartbeat. I'm sure that setup wasn't cheap!

Yeah they are in the loop, it seems to be hit or miss and I'm sure it is something simple I just don't know where to start. Remote start controller maybe, or an ignition wire in the steering column?
