Default 2010 15" rim question

Hey all...
My local Fountain Tire has a good deal on MT/R's and I tried to order some 35x12.50x15's but he told me 2010's can't run a 15" rim due to caliper size.
I've been following some of the conversation regarding rim size lately but didn't see anything regarding production year.

Can some one please confirm that 15" rim does or does not fit on a 2010 2dr JK.

Thanks
RJ

I have a JKU 2010 with 15" wheels , for same reason of better deal on tires, you will need a spacer on some wheels, Mine berly rub a small spacer would of done the job , but i went with 2" just for that wide look

I have the pro comp 152 series in 15"

I have 15x8 Black Rock 909B aluminum D window wheels on my '11 and they fit with no spacers and no rubbing. It depends on the specific wheel and seems like most problems are with steel wheels.

Just like the 07-09's, it's all about the backspacing. You have to get a 15" rim out far enough that it clears the calipers. That is at most a 4" BS, but a 3.75" or lower would be better - just in case.

Backspacing is needed to clear the steering components, mine are 4" and fit fine

Mine fit perfectly as well. MB72 from Discount Tire Direct. Great customer service as well. (no.. I'm not affiliated!)
It's all about the proper backspacing.
Good luck.

Here's the link to where I bought them:

Component clearance can be an issue with any rim size, not just 15's - depends on tire size. Caliper clearance, however, is only an issue with 15's. (which is why his installer brought it up).
