Default 2010 jeep jk issue

I have recently purchases a Brand new jk. I took it to a local 4x4 place here in houston and had them install a lift to accomidate 37's. As requested they did..... after a long road trip i started having a horrible sound coming from the underneath of the jeep. After taking it back, they discovered it needed a special drive shaft. My issue was why they didnt replace it to begin with. Well I picked it up today and now another issue..... in secound gear at 2500 rpm's the vibrations start and stay all through the gears while the rpm's stay around 2500rmp's. Me being green at this I was told by the 4x4 shop that the issue was unknown and should go back too jeep. If some is very experianced with these jeeps please give me some side advice so i can get my truck back. did i mention my jeep only has 1800 miles on it. Its very new. And is used on the street only!!! I need too know if the 4x4 shop is not responsivle for issue. aqs they are now claming

thanks

Did they replace with a new drive shaft? If so it might need balancing if it didnt come that way. also did you get all the control arms for the lift of just stalk ones? sounds like an alignment also, that what mine needed once I put the lift on. No more woble. Also if you can check all the bolts on control arms and front and rear track bars and tie rods. I am not an expert on this but I am sure there is somebody on here that can help you.

yep new drive shaft and then the issue started,,,,,,, the control arms are new but not adjustable..... Ive been reading and seeing people say rear upper and lower arms to adjust the angles of the DS. but I have no idea. all i know for sure is that its a pro comp 4 inch stage 1 lift with 1.75 inch spacers and 37's. also the slip yoke DS . Its making me feel very nervous not sure what direction to go. Dealer or another 4x4 shop?

Dont take it to the dealership, they wont touch after market parts and you run the chance of them voiding your warranty, take it to another 4x4 shop. I recommend Texas Truck Performace, they are located in Texas City and talk to Joe Pazdera .

If you can sneak it by them then go ahead, but im sure the dealership is going to notice the aftermarket drive shaft and I know for a fact that the dealership will not touch anything that is aftermarket

Get rid of the spacers and chop your flares or go to flats !! 4" coils with flat flares is plenty of room for 37's, and it will lessen the driveline and steering angles.

Which control arms did they put on? All 4 sets of 'fixed' arms? Only 2 sets, one front and one rear? Cam Bolts?

What is your caster currently set at?

Is the pinion pointed up at the tcase output? Or parallel to it?

Which brand driveshaft was installed? Rear only, or both front and rear? JK's do not use slip yokes, so does it have new yokes? Or adapter plates and stock flanges?

Did they install some type of steering correction? Flip kit? Drop pitman? Trackbar relo bracket? Anything? Take a pic of the front end, showing all of the components clearly. Mark both mounting holes of the drag link and the trackbar and draw a line between them. Are they parallel?

What is the psi in the tires? Have they been balanced recently?

A dealer installed lift may be covered by the dealership. But it is NOT your factory warranty, and any other dealership can and will tell you to go pound sand if they choose to. They may get sticky about any issues related to the lift or bigger tires, like steering components, axles, transfer case, even the transmission and engine, as the larger tires will put more strain on the drivetrain.

Your best bet is to talk to all of your local dealerships and use the one that is the most 'mod' friendly. Some will work with you. Others will not.

I faced same kind of issues twice..once i changed to 35''s and balancing the tires cured the problem and second time was bit tricky and it took the dealer a while to figure out. the problem was due to a damaged u joint ( I guess it broke after a long day of off road driving)
