Already have a rubi spring swap thet netted just under 2 inches. I am about to add a 2.5 budget boost on top of that. Are the spacers needed? At only $40 they arnt a problem, I just don't want them if I don't need them.

 

I know it is more money but I would sugest getting a new 1310 front drive shaft instead, you will end up needing it in the long run anyways. But yes you will need to do one or the other.

 

Spacers are not needed. I have a 3.5" rk lift and its fine. For now but the ds will be much better and safer

 

I've heard the spacers tend to fall out or loosen up. I took mine to an exhaust shop and just had them cut and redo that section of pipe.

 

You have never flex then, spacers or a driveshaft is absolutely needed on the 2012 with any kind of lift


the spacers will not just loosen up or fall out.


I would suggest replacing the front driveshaft with an after market 1310. If you do any kind of wheeling you will eventually destroy the factory shaft.

 

the spacers gave me like an inch. it was enough for my 3.5 at full droop, but if i did it again, id just weld in a section of pipe. id go with the drive shaft, youll need it eventually. unless you don't have the money now thatd be the only reason why i wouldn't go DS

 

I have the money but a new driveshaft isn't an option due to my warranty. I don't wheel this jeep too hard, it's my daily driver and I'm building a cj7 on Dana 60s, 500hp motor, and 44s, so with that being said, will my jk be ok when daily driving and mild wheeling? Are the exhaust spacers needed?

 

A new drive shaft will void the warranty, why is that?

 

If the dealer wants to void your warranty, the lift already gives them the reason to. The drive shaft will not realy change the warranty position.

 

I have already gotten the ok to do the lift as long as I don't mess with the axles or shafts
