i had AFE's high tuck catback and Dynomax's rock crawler kits on my 2012 and went back to stock. Could not feel any diff in power and the sound was not to my taste. Always had fast V8 cars and i just did not like the sound of a small cube v6 with an aftermarket exhaust. I can tell you that the rock crawler kit sounded better on my buddy's 3.8 JK than it did on my 3.6. We both started out with the comp exhaust with the turn down off the muffler. We both felt loss of low end power and throttle response. We both installed a dynomax full length tailpipe and regained some performance. With the full length tailpipe and the afe kit there was no loss of performance vs stock exhaust that i could tell. Just change of sound.

the biggest seat of the pants that i could feel was with the diablosport 93 octane tune and throttle response setting turned all the way up. That along with the Airaid intake made for a nice boost in performance. Nothing huge but you could feel it. Tune and intake gained ard 1.5-2 mpg on highway i found. my 2012 was a JKU with 4.10 & auto, bumpers, lift, 35s, winch, full steel skids, etc. so any extra performance helped.

Best I've heard on the Pentastar was the Corsa. Seen clips on YouTube.

The Corsa doesn't seem particularly small though. And doesn't seem to have great clearance. They do offer it in both single and dual out

I installed GIBSONS dual metal militia muffler on my 12 and was very happy with the look and sound,
I have not noticed much of an increase in performance but I was looking for the dual look anyway, not disappointed..

im considering it myself for my 2 door -
If I'm gonna do it, then i want RID myself of the muffler under the back (which would increase the clearance/departure angle).
Im not crazy about the exhaust systems that dump UNDER the drivers seat...Id rather have a muffler under the drivers seat area & plumbing & a tail pipe that exits out the back near the bumper.

IF you're gonna do this then go w/ a STAINLESS system (just like the factory installed)....otherwise you'll just end up replacing it (if you go w/ an aluminized metal).

Aftermarket chambered mufflers add drone, some less, some more. Flow-through typically give drone-free lower sound.
I intend to get the Magnaflow 17143 Performance Exhaust Kit. Not loud, smooth deep tone.

You say JK, but the picture shows a JKU.
I rode in someone else' JKU with the Magnaflow 17143, there was no annoying drone.

I had MagnaFlow part #17143 Off Road Pro Series on my 2013 JKUR for over a year and I love it. No drone and yes it was loud but it dumps under the Jeep so what do you expect. That being said I swapped it out for MagnaFlow part #15237 Rock Krawler design. Why because people riding in the back said it was too loud. Drone no...Loud yes. Also sar I see your in Orange, if you want my old Off Road Pro Series I will sell it to you. Hit me with a pm if your interested.
