Default 2012 JKR TPI question

Going to be putting some 35s on a set of stock 17s that I'm getting from a friend. Planning on keeping my stock tires for winter and back up set. The question I have is the set he has came off a 2007 and have no TPI. Can I just mount them up and run them without them with a pro cal? Or would i be better off buying a new set of TPI and if so any good ideas where to pick some up for a reasonable price?

If you run without the sensors, the light will always be on. I'm pretty sure the sensors run new about $100 each and I'm NOT sure if you can get them aftermarket or just from a stealership. Personally, if the light doesn't bother you than there's your answer. Cheers!

I used my pro-cal to set the pressure threshold to 0 psi when I put my aftermarket wheels on. No light. As long as my tire pressure doesn't go below 0, I'm good!

Unfortunately that is not an option for the 2012's yet

I'm running my aftermarket wheels without one. The light is on all the time but after the first week you will forget about it. And if your like most guys on here you don't need a number on a screen to tell you our tires low.

If your running 35s you'll have to set the tire pressure lower than the factory threshold anyway so the light will be on even with the TPIs so just run without them. At least until the have a programmer for the 2012s. Assuming whoever said that's not an option for the 2012s is right. I don't personally know wince I don't have my 2012 yet so haven't even looked at programmers yet for it.
