So as far as getting rid of heat goes, the AEV hood is the only option?

Poison spyder hood louver. Search it on this site.

Back to the K&N filter on a 2012 3.6. Does it work good with a snorkel?

Ive been looking at the spectre kits for TJ's that go through the firewall. They dont make them for the jk's yet but i like the idea.
