2012 JKU Auto question...expert advice
I ordered a 2012 JKU auto sport and elected for the 3.21 gears bc I'm going to upgrade later
when I put a lift and 35's on........sorry if this has been asked before but I haven't been able to find an exact answer to my question.
For being a daily driver/weekend camping/light-moderate trails......I'm torn between installing
4.10 and 4.56 gears. Is there really a difference in MPG and power? Would I be happy with 4.10 gears with 35inch tires?
I don't want to regret my decision on gears. I've seen the 2012 3.6 auto gear ratio chart and it says I could go either way but which one should I choose????

Really I would've elected for installing the 3.73 gears and just ran those with 35's, a lot of people do it because the engine simply has more grunt than the 3.8 and can handle it pretty easily. But then again, I'm frugal.
I've heard people that say they're happy with the 4.10s and 4.56s on this forum.
Here's a gear chart in case you haven't seen it:

i have riden in a 2012 running 35's and 4.10 gears and it still felt way more powerful than my 07 with a 6-speed running 32" tires or even 35's with 5.13 gears. as mentioned, i think you would be just fine with 3.73's
Thanks guys...as I said...I ordered the jeep with the 3.21 gears bc I'm installing a 4" lift and 35's anyways. I guess I'll opt for the 4.10 gears. I also have heard alot of people say they are satisfied with the power in the 2012's.

I have an 07 with factory 4.10 and 245/70r16's. It's OK for towing light trailers. And it does fine on the interstate with the OD on. But I know that I will loose this performance just going to 33's much less 35's. I eventualy plan on running 33's with the 4.56. And hope that I can keep the same level of performance that I currently enjoy.
