2014 Sahara Searching for Suspension lift and help
Purchased a 2014 Sahara last month. Want to add suspension lift but need help. I put a lot of road miles but would like to be able to go on the beach and trails.
Does anyone know the height of a wrangler unlimited with a
2.5 inch lift and 33 inch tires on 18 inch rims.
3.5 inch lift and 35 inch tires on 18 inch rims
Also any recommendations on a lift
3.5 with 35 Wrangler Duratrac
2.5 with 33 Wrangler Duratrac
Looking for a little height and good highway control
Currently measure 37 inches to the bottom of the front stock fender and 69 to the roof by the mirror

I'm in the same boat. I have 2014 sahara as well.
I think I would personally want to have a 3.5 lift but I feel if I am to go 2.5 with 33's I'll have less stress on the rest of the jeep.
Also a concern I have to is that I would like to get a solid lift that does require me to change to much of the original suspension if possible.
I'm new to all of this. This is too a daily driver with hopefully some light to moderate off roading hopefully in the future

Hey guys
This is my 2007 Sahara with a 2.5" AEV lift including the geometry correction brackets and 35" Toyo's on 18" rims.
It's my daily driver and this is how it should have come from the factory.
I think it drives better than stock, it certainly feels more positive.

It might be a good idea to read through the two threads stuck to the top of this modified area before you start looking at specific lifts. Get a better idea of the lift heights vs tire size, what all of the different components do, and which you are likely to want/need as you lift higher.
Are you willing to trim your fenders or go to flats? (this means you can go with a shorter lift to clear bigger tires)
How much offroad driving will you be doing? What types of terrain?
Have you done any research on re-gearing or axle re-inforcement?
Heights will vary, but I think that a good rule of thumb would be that if your lift gives 3 inches of actual lift, then your JK will be 3" taller. If your new tires are 4" taller than the the old ones, take half the number, so your JK will be 2" taller. (lol, not a lot of rocket surgery there, just add the numbers to where you are at now...

If keeping the same mpg as you now have is important do few mods. Place a 3/4" front spring spacer if you want less rake (will decrease mpg) and use AllTerrain tires. Keep the plastic air dam on for aerodynamics. Install quality 1.5" wheel spacers to increase track giving better stability in turns and wider look. Bolting on lights or roof rack will increase drag.
When off-road the plastic side steps are more hindrance than asset.

Mine is a 2012 Sahara with a 2.5" lift, and nitto trail grapplers 35's and 18" fuel kranks, just added warn elite full width front bumper and warn elite rear bumper with tire carrier and 12000 pound winch, rides great and is getting around 17 mpg at 70 mph on hwy
So i contemplated for days on what to do.
Go 2.5 and 33's
or 3.5 and 35's
The end result was a compromise
I went with a the following
3.25" Rough Country Lift
325 65 18 Good Year Wrangler Duratracs
added a total of 4.75 inches to the truck
Great look.
Tires really set it off nicely.stick out a little wider than I thought but it looks tough
Will post pictures in the am

Your jeep can run on the beach on light trails just fine from the factory. Depending on tire design, going to a AT tire would be the best performance gains you will find.
Go out and drive it and you will find out what you really need. No need to throw a bunch of money and a big lift on a daily driver.
