Question -21.75 mm offset. To much stress?

I am wanting to know if an offset of -21.75 mm will cause to much stress.

I am not an xtream 4 wheeler, i just like to stick with small stuff and i am mostly a street driver.

A -21.75mm works out to about a 3.6" BS.... That will make your tires stick out a lot further from Stock. If you get a 12.50 wide tire it will stick out about 3.5 to 4" from stock. You will have issues with Ball joints with that BS/offset. Also, you may have issues with steering lock to lock. Also, you should check into your state laws on how far out your tires can stick out from stock fenders....or you will have to invest in wider flares as well.

If it was my JK....I would not go any further than 4.25" BS.

the reason i am asking is I plan on buying the AEV Pintlers 17x8.5 and fom some of the pics i have seen I feel i wish the tires stuck out a little bit more. since AEV discontinude the wide stance version the only solution is wheel spacers. the smallest ones are 1.25" and would set the offset at 21.75 mm, aproxamately 3.45" Backspacing. I am not concerned about backspacing cause i know a 12.5" tire will fit. my only concern is that a -21.75 offset would have to much stress on the ball joints and steering.

Just to throw it in there, the Pro Comp Series 8069 15x10 has 3.625" backspacing, which calculates out to -34.925 mm offset which would put even more stress on the ball joints

It would be lots of stress on the steering components and ball joints with a -34mm offset and your option with the pintlers & spacers.

Instead of going with less BS rim or adding spacers...have you looked at adding a 13.50 wide tire with the the AEV pintlers??? This will help stick out your tire further with the AEV pintlers without adding a wheel spacer? But you may run into issues with steering lock to lock with the 13.50 wider tire with the AEV BS'ing.

I thought it would maybe be a bad ideah to have wheel spacers with the pintlers. I guess I will just have to deal with it. I bet when i see it in person it wont be that bi of a deal though.

Thanks guy

If anyone else has some input I would love to here it.
