22 different coil spring rates.
Hi all, new and learning.
According to Superlift's site, the various JK models are offered w/22 different coil spring rates, dictated by how they are equipped from factory. So how do you know which spring rate a given company chooses to use? soft side or little on the firm side or one spring fits all for their lift kits. That is one reason I am leaning toward superlift. And Skyjacker has "Softride" if there is anything to that.

In answer to your question, I have heard of the myriad of springs that Jeep uses on the JK's (for hard top, for soft top, for 2-door, for 4-door, for Rubicon, for X or Sahara and any combination of that) and while I have no doubts that there are a few different coils being used, I haven't been able to confirm if there's any truth the 22. Now, having said all that, while spring rates can and will make a difference in your ride, I think you should really be concerned with the shocks you get. If they are not valved correctly for the vehicle in question, you'll end up with a harsh or mushy ride inspite of the fact that they are some hotshot name brand shock. Need I say, just because a kit states that it has a "soft ride", it doesn't mean it will be. In fact, I ususally take that as meaning it will be too mushy or will sag quickly. But, that's just me
