Default 265 or 285? What should I do?

OK, I've searched but can't find the answer to my specific question.

EDIT: NO LIFT

I'm about to get new tires and I really would rather have the 285/75R16 instead of the 265/75R16 that I have now, but I'm concerned about rubbing the inner rear fender....the ones I have now come pretty close to rubbing, so I just wanna be sure before I place my order.

What I have are 16x8's with 4" BS, does anyone have that same size/BS wheel with the 285's? Does it rub at full flex? If it's not too bad, I might do it but if it rubs alot I'd rather just stick to the 265's. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Here it is with the 265's stuffed....

BTW if it matters, I'm getting Mickey Thompson MTZ's

Im running 285/75 MTZ's on Cragars 16x8 with 5" of Backspacing and I havent had a single rub on road. Flexing off road there will occasionally be some, but still very limited and nothing to really worry about. Once I replace the air dam with a skid I think that will be less concern as well. You wont have a problem fitting the 33's, go for it!

Thanks, anyone else? What about with 4" backspacing like I have? If it rubs a little with 5", then it would probably rub worse on mine then right?

I do

It looks like I'm gonna have to stick to the 265's anyhow. I've got to order them tomorrow so I can have em put on Saturday....and I don't want to pay for the 285's and then find out that they rub real bad.

I have the 3.21's as well with 305/70 R17's. Its a little bit on the dog side but not much worse than stock. I'll be lookin for gears but its not so much slower that its an emergency to replace em. I think the 285's would stuff stock though. I did have to add spacers for the 305's though..just a lil bit of rub.

i've got the 265 and 3.21s and it runs great but i also have the 6spd and i think thats the difference i could roll with 285s or 305s but i'm married and just bought these tires not too long ago so i'm stuck LOL --- but i do have the 2"BB and i love it, and 305's would look sweet, lets see the pic of the 305s please
