Default 26psi

Hey guys. I have a 2011 sport with a teraflex bb and 285/70/17 Falken Rocky Mountains. I did a chalk test today and all tread was making contact at 26psi. Does that seem too low? I don't have any weight on my jeep. I was just curious if anyone is running their tires that low. Thanks

But you have 36" tires. Does it really matter that I have 33's and running them at 26? Does it makes sense that I can run my tires at lower pressure since I have not extra weight on my Jeep?

Default 25 psi

I run the Cooper Discoverer STT in 285/70-17. I also done the chalk test, and I run 25 psi in them. I rotate all five tires every 5000 miles and ckeck them with a depth gague when rotated and they are wearing perfectly.

Yes, I think that you should be fine, & agree that less weight may work to your advantage. You can also change your psi if you don't like the feel, it's too spungie add some air, etc.

^This? If you sidewalls are very thin/thick may effect how much psi you need.

Ryan0260 the load range is D. Thanks guys for all the info! 26 psi feels good and leaves a even wear so I'm just going to leave it at that. I just wanted to get some feedback. Much appreciated!

Wow, that's way too high. Get them down to 35 psi to start. When you have time search chalk test.
