Default 285 rubbing?

I'm thinking about getting some new 285's and I was wondering if they rub? If so how bad?

I just got a set of 285/75/16 Duratracs. I also got new wheels with 4.25" back spacing. I have not had any rubbing. I don't have a lot of clearance between the front tires and the fender flares, but I think that's a result of the springs sagging from the bumper and winch.

If you aren't going to get new wheels too, would probably be a good idea to get some wheel spacers to use with your stock wheels.

I have 285/70/17s on ATX wheels with 4.5" backspacing. I have no rubbing whatsoever.

Ultimately, these tires will rub UNLESS you have wheels with 4.5" backspacing (or less) OR you use wheel spacers.

Get some wheels with proper backspacing (ie Rugged Ridge or AEV) and you are set.

Speed2005 is right - Proper B/S & you should be fine. {Get new wheels-you'll be glad you did} .
No rubbing at all from my Duratracs: 285/70/17 on ProComps
