Default 3.21 vs. 3.73?

I have a 2011 Sport with the 3.21 axle gearing and i recently put some 33's on it and now i really want to re-gear it so it drives like it did when it had its stock 29's. Just wondering if the 3.73 ratio will be enough to get it back to how it was? Im also planning on running 35's in the future. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

If ur running 3.73 now up can go up as much as u want on the gears. If you have 3.21 you will have to buy a new front carrier. If ur an auto you should go no less that 4.88's if u plan to go to 35's. If ur a 6 speed 4.56 will give you that stock feel back

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Ill probably go with some 4.10's, seems like a good middle of the road approach. Does anyone know the best place to get gear sets from for a decent price?

I'd be going 4.56 and that ain't overkill... 4.88 might be dunno
BUT I think you might regret going with 4.10's on 35's and who knows what other mods later....Good luck.

Id just go with what would make you happy when you have 35's. You aren't going to want to regear twice... id go with the 4.88 or the 4.56 i believe it is... Id go a little more than the 4.10.. I have that now stock and once i get 35's I'm going to want to regear to the 4.88 at least... Im guessing you're going to want the extra kick plus better town gas mileage so go with the 4.88. just my 2 cents

Open the FAQ's Stickied to the top of this modified area and look in the Drivetrain section. There is a JK specific RPM chart for you to plug numbers into. (use measured tire heights, no mfg's spec).

There are about a bazillion re-gearing threads to look through, so be sure to do a little homework before dropping upwards of a couple grand on a regear. And be sure to look into gussets and lockers and sleeves and skids so you can decide what is right for your needs.

How long until you get the 35's? For the cost involved, my opinion would be to live with your 3.21's until you go to 35's, and then drop some 4.88's in.

If you are going to go to 35s id go with 4.88 maybe even 5.13 depending on how long it will be until the 35s

The other question I have is if any of this will void my warranty? Does it matter which manufacturer I buy from, who installs it, or even if it's used(might not be able to afford new ring and pinion)?
