is it worth it to regear for 33s if you have 3.21s 6sp? maybe I just cant use my 6th gear anymore.. sadly
Umm, yeah, what river2c said...

Are you upgrading to Rubi axles as well? If so, they will have 4.10's, and should be a great improvement from your stock 3.21's.

Or are you confused about re-gearing in general? Or am I confused?

(people with 35's or bigger will talk about not using 6th. I haven't seen anyone with 33's saying it. As has been mentioned several times, you're only looking at a 1" increase...)

Yes only 1 in increase... but 30mm wider and heavier, doesnt that play a factor? Hopefully in the future I will be upgrading to rubi axles but not at this time

I use 6th gear every day on the freeway going 65 MPH in mine with 3.21 & 33" tires. When traffic slows below about 60, I downshift to 5th.

I can't imagine. 32s and 4.10s is marginal IMO.

I have 33s and the 4.10 gears and sure wouldn't want to go any higher (lower, whatever!). I have the Hypertech and its performance boost was marginal, at best. I'm skeptical that any chip/programmer is going to have a significant increase. The reason can be seen if you take a look at those curves they all provide: The 5-6A% improvement is at high torque--which occurs at high rpm's. Which means that it provides just what I say: A marginal improvement at typical highway speeds in sixth gear.

Or Ill wanna buy a rubi! Which is what I'll probably end up doing later down the road hopefully

but regear for 33s? and 4.10s from rubis only work on back axle right because the front one is different and it wouldnt be worth that since it doesnt have the lockers or the upgraded axle in the front... might as well save money for a rubi?
