Default 3" or 4" lift with 33's?

Hey all,

I apologize if this is somewhere in here but I couldn't find it. I'm planning on a 3" lift with my 33" tires although deep down I want a 4" lift. I think that might be too much space but would love to see the difference if any of you have them?

Thanks!

try the show and tell forum, there is a sticky with 33s, https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-show-tell-33/show-off-threads-18457/

then read sigs for setup, and welcome to the foremost jeep forum on the web

I'd go with a teraflex 2.5 inch coil lift with 33s. I have a teraflex 3" lift with 35s and plenty of room to spare. The higher the lift the more things you have to address (caster angles, driveshafts, etc). If you're set on a 3" inch lift why not go with 35s?

Well, I only recently got the tires and now it's lift time (earlier than expected), so my concern is if I got the 4" it looking funny. I'm pretty well set on the 3".

I'm of the mind that you should get the lift you want now, and not wish you had later - as long as you're prepared to take care of all the other things that will go with the taller lift. You can always run your 33s for a while, and upgrade to 35s next time around. I just installed the TF 2.5" inch coil and I've got plenty of room for 33s.

I agree with Rock. I went with a 3in lift and bought 5 wheels/tires for a great price from a member that are 33s. I knew I was going to want 35s later on but could not pass on the deal and figure I could just upgrade the tires later when the tires get worn down and have the money. T

Well i say go 4" now. 33's dont look that bad on a 4" or at least i dont think so. I guess it all depends on you though i know a lot of people run lifts on here that are not as tall but i like the high rides!

my 4" with 33's
