3.73 gears
I have a 2011 JKU with auto and 3.73 gears. I'm going to 35's with 17x9 rims in the next month or so. Will I need to change these out and if so with what ratio? Mostly daily driver and highway driving. No rocks moderate trails and sand. I know this topic is beat up but I'm clueless on gearing.

There are some great rpm charts in the drivetrain section of the faq's. Use actual measured tire heights, not mfg's spec. Once you get the rpm, you can divide that number by .69 to get the OD Off rpm.
What you will find is that 3.73 with OD Off is very close to 5.38 with OD On. So drive with the 35's for a while with OD turned off, and then decide which ratio to go with.

Im like you debating which gears but after installing my 35's this past week I will be installing 4.88's. I really did not find the powerloss that bad. OD definitely does not work well with 35's right now but the power in take off is like stock to me. So I'll just put 4.88 to help with OD.
