Spark advance is not totally dynamic in open loop. It still relies on sensors that use table based calculations with input from such sensors as the MAP and TPS sensor. The MAP sensor only gets you in the ballpark and a TPS sensor when you have changed mechanicals in front of it isn't giving you relevant data when you have increased air flow.

I bet it was Mopar brand ... you can buy it in the parts department and do the same.

This is essentially the same stuff as Chevron Techron.

Is it something you dump in the gas tank? If so don't see why it would be any different from the stuff you buy at the auto parts store for probably much cheaper

Yes ... many years ago, I took my '91 in for fuel injector service. Basically they poured Mopar injector cleaner into the tank... I knew the parts manager and he told me that's what the service department does.

I've never had my injectors serviced in 177K miles and it runs perfect.. but I use Chevron Techron Concentrate.

They also did combustion chamber cleaner which would have been sprayed down the throttle body. Regardless I have probably 10 key cycles on the jeep so far and have burnt half a tank of fuel and its gotten no better. The dealer is being very good about it they haven't said a word about my tires, intake, or exhaust. They told me they have seen a few other motors with the same problem although mine was the first manual they have seen. They asked me to run two tanks of fuel through it and see if it improves and that if it didn't to bring it back and the next step would be pulling the heads.

Well if they have seen a few motors with the same problem then how did they fix them? Sounds like they are playing cat and mouse. I would drop it back off and tell them to call you when it is actually fixed...
