3.8l 2 door with 35s, Regearing Question
How about programmer route guys? I guess I'm gunna try to recalibrate first. Best for for the buck programmer?
And yes, soon will be Regearing. From what people have recommended and what the charts say, either 5.13 or 5.38. I'm leaning towards the 5.13. Hoping between mine and my fathers mechanical background we can do the install our selves, other wise it sounds like $1500 done by a shop :-/

From everything I've read on the forum, 5.13 gears is the best bet for a 3.8L auto with 35's. I am currently running 3.73 stock gears with 33's and need to regear. (though I am waiting to buy 35's and get 5.13 gears)
search Planman's posts about gears and he explains it well. He's a big proponent of 5.13's and even 5.38's for 35s to 37s.
2x on getting the pro cal it is worth the money

Several years ago, Richmond made d30 5.38's, but they are no longer available. 5.13's are what you probably want, depending on location/use/preference/etc.
I mentioned 5.38 earlier simply for comparison purposes. When the numbers are plugged into the chart, you can see that the rpm of 3.73 with od off is very close to 5.38 with od on, and will give a decent idea of where you will be on the freeway after a regear.
