Default 3" Black Diamond kit

Wanted some feedback on this kit ( 3" Black Diamond ) for my 07 Rubicon Unlimited , Looks ok . I think that it mite be a good kit to start with. I plan on 33's for now. When I am ready to step it up to 35's I was thinking on adding some front ACOS and rear spacers. I like ACOS , I have a set on my XJ.

Thanks: Sparky4x4 , 07 Rubicon Unlimited

I got it and love. I don't see you needing spacers, though, I clear 35's with room to spare. My actual lift was 4 1/8 when it was new, now I'm at 4".

I've been going back and forth between the Black Diamond and FT Ultimate. Any comments on what makes one better than the other? I know that Peterson's 4x4 rated the Black Diamond as the best in their price category, but FT was not represented.

It would be interesting to compare this kit to the TeraFlex kit. But thats crazy that you got 4" out if it

Go with Bilstein shocks. If you will have a heavy winch and bumper up front, consider running the Bilsteins for a Long arm kit(up front). I ran both types of Bilsteins on my TJ with ARB Bumper and Warn 9.5 TI winch. I broke a shaft on the regular Bilsteins up front. The shocks were smooth on the highway but couldn't control all of the added weight of the winch and bumper. The long arm shocks up front rode stiffer on the highway, but I actually liked it better (front end didn't dive as much when hitting bumps) and the offroad performance was greatly improved.
If you don't plan on running a heavy winch and bumper combo go with the short arm Bilsteins. Hope this helps.
