Default 3 inch lift ??

I am trying to make sense of all of the hundreds of threads on here asking the same questions. I figure coming out and asking the question was a good start. So, to do it right, I believe a 3 inch lift for a 2010 4dr Rubi with auto trans needs the following:

3 inch Springs and Shocks
Bump Stops extensions
New Brake lines or tabs
New sway bar links front and rear
Front Track Bar
Rear Track Bar relocation bracket
Front Drive Shaft
Front Lower CA's (for caster)
Rear Upper CA's (for pinion angle)

Correct? Anything else? Thanks in advance.

Well, you can run the rear sway bar links on the front and just buy longer ones for the rear, if you want. I would forget the rear re-location bracket and go with adj front and rear trackbars. With a 4dr and only 3" of lift your driveshaft will be okay for a while. Some say that they tear the boot of theirs but I never have in 10,000 miles. The control arms are good to dial in your steering but again, you can get by without them for a while too. I would get them, however, if you go 4" or higher.

You probably wont need rear upper arms either. At least, when I tried to buy some Dave told me not to bother. After that, I didnt feel so bad dropping $3k with him!

No doubt on the help form friends. I have been around for a while, reading more than posting...aka lurking . Trying to learn as I go, and read before I post.

That is what I read on the links, but most kits come with them anyway. Same here about the rear track bar, but again, most kits already come with the bracket. As far as I understand lifts, a 3" coil lift will gain me close to 4" especially without the front bumper / winch right now. And, as far as CA's go, If I can swing them now then I will. The whole daily dirver thing concerns me (steering and wandering), and if I get them now, then I will be good as I continue to add things later (wheel and tires and stuff).

You will only need the rear upper control arms if you are replacing the rear driveshaft. With a 4 door you shouldn´t need a new one with a 3¨ lift.

This is more of a personal issue, but I have noticed the rear wheel is not centered in the wheel well once you put a lift on. I thought the rear upper CA's helped that (recenter in the wheel well)??? That and pinion angle correction...that was the plan anyway...hence the list.

I believe it's the track bars job to center the axle. But that is if you are referring to left to right centering, are you looking at jeep from side or back?

Out of curiosity are planning on building your own Frankenlift or buying a kit with these components?

I was looking at it from the side. I do understand the trackbar will correct the axle centering under the Jeep. Lifted Jeeps seem to have the rear wheel move forward in the wheel well, and I thought the rear CA's helped correct that (again, that and the pinion angle correction.)

I was looking at a couple of different kits. Brand wise, I like OME and Teraflex based on reviews and popularity. It is hard to argue with those numbers. JKS for the track bars and control arms and either Tom Woods or JE Reel for the front drive shaft. The OME kit at Northridge got me looking at putting quality parts together.
