Default 3" lift question

When I install the teraflex 3" lift, do you guys recomend getting the adjustable track bar. If not how much will the axles shift. If I get the track bar, should I put it on or have a shop do this for me. Thanx for the info. Full Traction 3" Economy Suspension comes with track bar remount brackets, does this keep the axles from moving when lifting instead of an adutable tack bar?

My axle is about 1/2" offset to the driver's side after the lift. It does not cause me any problems, but I will either modify my stock setup or get an aftermarket bar at some point. Some people have complained that this offset causes their Jeeps to pull to the left a little.

IMO the right way to do is to re-center the axles via an adjustable track bar or track bar brackets.
Thats why the Full Traction kit comes with track bar brackets, to keep the axles centered.
The more $$$ kits come with adjustable track bars, which is an even better way of doing it.

ok this is MY take on the issue....

DON'T put a drop down bracket on the front track bar UNLESS the lift comes with a drop pitman arm. doing one with out the othere WILL result in bump steer.

I installed a 3" kit and did'nt put on the drop bracket that came with the kit and at this point I'm NOT experiencing any pulling or anything durring driving that is from the axle being offset from the lift.

now the problems THAT I HAVE with just leaving it allone (axle offset) are, my shock on the pass side hits the frame when the axle is articulated with the pass side at full extension. which I know will go away once I get my adjustable track bar. one other problem that I have had is my drive line has hit my tranny pan while articulating I also think this may have been from the axle not being back in center but untill I get my new track bar I cant say POSITIVELY that that was what caused the problem.

as for installing the track bar yourself well it's not that hard and there is a write up about installing one over on project-jk.com ....

IMO

I will only use an adjustable track bar. to me brackets = another point where a break can/will occur. The kit does not have to high $$$

I am running a Rusty's 3.25 with 35" Nittos. His kit came with springs.shox.and front/rear adj track bar for 550.00. I have taken it out and played quite a bit in the snow and tomorrow I am going rock hunting again, have not had any problems at all.
