Default 3 stupid things i recently did....thought of two more

first- last sunday when i went to get my jeep from dan (burnsville) i stopped at a rest stop. when i came back to start her she would not start. it was night time and i started seeing glowing eyes throughout the bushes. (panic sets in).
tried to start it again and no go...OOOPS i have been without my jeep since EJS and have been driving stick...helps to put an automatic in park when you shut her off.

second- first gas stop in minee-soda...tried for a few minutes to work the key in the locking gas cap. ooops forgot that it went the other way compared to my other jeep.

third- interior rear light decided to stay on while driving....i had to get to my rear of he jeep and the friggen catch on the jeeperman bumber would not move...so i climbed into the back to get what i needed. i went to the dealor and said i had a electronic issue- tech opens the door and presses the light off- oops i felt like a moron.

fourth- do not ask me about this becouse it gets complicated. jk has two alarms- one stock and one aftermarket. somehow my alarm went off and tried to use the remote to shut it off. after 5 minutes of a loud alarm and people coming out of there houses i pulled the wire to the horn. lights are still flashing.
finally relized it was the stock alarm going off and forgot that it had a panic button on it.

fifth- like number one....put key in and no engine...and no lights...and key would not turn...helps to remember what jeep keys fit in whet jeep.

so that was my week of being stupid.......and yes i know i i spwell errors....

I can't drive an automatic either, i drove a 5 speed for so long that if i borrowed my sisters car or something I'd shut it off without putting it in park ... can't get the key out of the ignition. My sister would have to come out and put it in park, key comes right out then ... Oh yea, stupid car.

It takes a big man to admit when you screw up (without a woman pointing it out). For me it all started 15 years ago when I said "I do". It's been down hill ever sence!

What, you don't stomp on the non-existant clutch when in an auto like I do?

That one tripped me up the other day. I didn't know about that feature and a passenger in back had accidentally bumped it on while reaching behind the seat. Fortunately, one of my several passengers had seen this on another vehicle, so we figured it out without a trip to the dealer. :-)

I shift it into 'N' all the time. Drives me nuts. The shift is usually accompanied by a left foot slam into the floor boards.
My first thought is always that I missed the clutch, but then I realize that is not possible. It is only then I realize I am driving an automatic, grrrr.

How about stomping on the ever-existing brake pedal with your left foot? That has happened to me a few times. Needless to say, when you hit the brake like a clutch, you make some noise and leave rubber on the road!
