3" teraflex basic lift kit - control arms needed?
jeep newbie here.. although not newbie to cars & suspension in general....
Just pulled trigger on the JKU teraflex 3" basic lift kit, do I really need the 'flexarms' with that kit to have a proper alignment? is it a must?
did a quick search with no results... thx in advance

I have 2010 JKU Rubi 4 door/auto... Running a teraflex 3" for about 8 months now with front lower / rear upper teraflex control arms and trackbar... I started with front lowers only but with 30 days I decided to add additional arms due to a noticeable difference in drivability... Not scary but I noticed the drift. Since I've added the additional items I could not be happier with the drive. also changed out shocks w/bilstein 5100's in front and 5160's in rear.
thx for the replies.
its a 4 door.
hmmmm... so is a 3" basic lift worth it over 2.5? or would you need all these control arms etc for a proper 2.5 too?
Im not scared to spend money, but to be honest, im not building this jeep for trail driving, just takin my kids up the mountain , snowboarding, hiking etc.. and I love the look of 35" tires. Maybe a year down the line I'll try a couple trails.
any advice would be appreciated.

Just so you know, I ran 4in tera springs for 2yrs with just front lowers, all other arms stock. I was running the stock rear driveshaft with absolutely no issues. I changed all the rear arms and went to a double carden shaft in the rear because I got t-boned towards the rear and it bent some of the CA's and the driveshaft, so I changed them out. The Tera 3in kit will give you 4in of lift on a 4dr depending on how many heavy items you've added, bumpers, winch, etc. Then it would be a little less than 4in. You should definately get front lowers an adjustable front trackbar and either one of the rear trackbar re-inforcement/ re-locate brackets or adj rear trackbar.
bummer, i wish the retailer website would have put that as a disclaimer that other parts are needed with the kit.
Would I need new control arms & sway bars with the teraflex 2.5 kit?
thx
