Default 315's too wide for 7" wheels???

I have stock wheels (16x7) and 1.5" spacers.
My question is not will the tires fit under the jeep, they will.

My question is:
Will a tire 315mm wide (315 75r16) be too wide for that 7" wide wheel.

I've seen that tire manf recommend at least 8" wide wheels for 315's, but they do for 285's too which is bs.
I only want opinions from ppl who have ACTUALLY run this width tire on this width wheel.
Ppl who are just guessing or "have a buddy who has a buddy who did it and it sucks" can save their time.
Also telling me to buy bigger wheels without a good reason from first hand experience is ludicrous.

I want to run 315 75r16's if I can and want to use my stock wheels for now.
I'm crossing my fingers that ppl say it will work fine bc I don't want to have to go w 285's if I can help it.

Thanks guys!!

I have 315/70/17 on my factory rims with no problem, even aired down I haven't had an issue.

You should be fine - there are tons of people doing this with no issues (I'll be one too next week).

Check with the people who will mount and balance your tires. They may have an issue with mounting on 16x7 wheels. 17'' inch wheels are 7.5'' wide. The extra .5 does make a difference.

*behind

Installed 317 75r16 kumho road venture mt's.
Run them at 40lbs on asphalt.
They're smooth. Tread sits flat on ground.
Sidewall doesn't bulge.
Looks perfect to me.
