Default 32's or 33's

Hello all
My jeep is on order and should be here soon. It will be a daily driver that is rarely taken off road

Wallace jeep down here in florida is being kind enough to buy my wrangler sr-a's off of me when it comes in. They are a terrible tire. Plus they will give me new tires for their cost.

So I'm looking at upgrading to a 285/70r17. But looking at all the specs of these tires they are only .7 inches taller then my stock ones. I don't want to go anymore than a 33 right now and a leveling kit.
So Is it worth the extra money going up one size.

Any body running firestone destination at's. All the reviews rave about this tire but haven't seen many people running them. The only post I've seen says the bfg at is better, but they also said they suck in the wet and I live is south florida.

Yes,

I have the same size and it is how the jeep should come from the factory. I am running a Teraflex Leveling kit with 285 coopers. The coopers are very stiff so I am probably swapping them out for a softer tire this spring.

They are great and long lasting tho. but rough on the paved roads

I'm also running 285 coopers. Not much taller at all but the width and appearance are both nice with some wider set wheels.

I put 75,000 miles on these tires. That is the biggest reason why I went with the Goodyear Duratracs. Now if I get another 75K. Plus have an excellent A/T tire too. I'll be happy.

You put 75,000 on the SR-A's? I had them on my 2door (225's) for awhile. Everytime it rained which is often i felt like i had no control. I bought some Sahara takeoffs with duelers and they were awesome.

How many miles do you have on the duratracs, i like the looks of those but they seemed a little to aggressive in the tread for my use. are they quiet and do they do good on the road.

I went from the stock wrangler sr-a 255/75/17 to 285/65/18 nitto trail grapplers. The height difference is only about 1" BUT, combined with the width and agressive tread, the looks are much better IMO.
Crappy cell pics but you get the idea.

The stock wheels look good with bigger tires also!

That's pretty much the look I'm going for. Looks awesome. I am going to leave the stock 17 wheels and go to 285/70r17's. I'm just trying to decide on the tire I want. How do the trail grapplers do on the road
