Sorry for the driveway poser shots, but I just got these home and may not get out this weekend. Anyway, here they are on my Jeep: 255/80R17 BFG KM2. They definitely feel heavier than the stock tires, but so far, they feel smooth at 29psi. I am very happy with these tires so far. I am sure they will be great off road. I am now off to recalibrate with my Superchips.
My spare should be in tomorrow........

Nice...but they look TALL and SKINNY in that first pic...what is the actual height of the tire? BTW skinny is not necessarily bad and according to an article I read recently, a narrower tire is better than a wide one for off road TRACTION. The only place a narrower tire is more desirable is on SAND/MUD (according to that article)

I would think loose sand and mud would be where you would want wider tires. They are a good compromise for me. The width is narrow, but I will not have to contend with rubbing and there is less rolling resistance on the road. I think they will suit me just fine. The height, according to BFG, is 33.3 with a width of 10.4. Being a load E tire, they are not going to be very compliant over bumps, but it is not too bad. I may fool around with the tire pressure, but as it is right now, it is not terrible. If you want a Cadillac boat ride, these will not make you happy! I hope to find some dirt in the next day or two before I have to go back to work, but I dont know if that will happen. Got a kiddie party I have to go to on Saturday.....

Any Updates??
Any updates on these 255/80 R17 tires?
This is a size I am interested in, mostly because I believe the ride characteristics will not change as much as if I go to a 285/70 or 315/70 tire.
How is the power and economy of this setup. The price difference between these and some other larger tires is not a big deal to me, but kowing a little bit more about how these are handling, driving and emptying your wallet at the gas pump would really help.
Thanks
