Default 33"s or 35"s

I'm looking to do a 2.5" lift and can't decide which tire size to go with. I like 35s but heard I would need to re gear. Then some say that's not true. Any advice here would be great. If I go 33s am I good stock? 2013 JKU sport

Thanks

Oh yeah, does the fact that I have the newer type motor have anything to do with it?

You'll be fine with the 3.6 with 35s. I'm running 35s on the 3.8 and 4:10s, and around town it's okay, just a bit slow. Luckily there's pretty much no elevation changes. If you're thinking about 35s, go with them. You'll be kicking yourself if you don't.

I think it's a 3.21? I need to find out then.

Go with the 35's or you'll regret it. Welcome to the forum.

Depends on what type and how much wheeling you do. If its a DD, and you have 3.21s, go 33s. If you have 3.73s, you can get away with 35s but it'll be a tad slow on pick up.

Just throwing it out there to see if it sticks: 285/75/17s are 33.8

Once you get 33's you'll want 35's lol. I did the same thing bought 33's and a few month later traded up for 35's.
