Default 33" tires need help/information

I just bought a 2008 jeep wrangler sahara unlimited. This is my first jeep, and i am looking into putting some cooper discoverer ST/T 33" tires on it. I am not familiar with tires or the numbers that go with it. So my question is which tires would i need and would i need spacers or a leveling kit in order to fit the tires on?

If you are putting a wider tire than stock on, you will need new wheels with around 4.5" backspacing or less, or you can use spacers on your stock wheels.
33's will fit without lifting the Jeep.

On a standard sized tire: tire height (in) / tire width (in) - wheel diameter
On a metric sized tire: tire width (mm) / sidewall height (% of tire width) - wheel diameter

Can't tell you what specific tire size is a 33" for you without knowing what size wheel you are using.

Default better question

Maybe a better question would be what are the biggest tires i could put onto stock rims without a lift or spacers.

i have the 18 stock sahara wheels and im running 275/65R18 which come out to only 32" tall but the Hankook Dynapro Mt's actually measured out to be 33.25" tall and barely rubbed with the increase in width!

I ran 33s on the stock steel wheels for over a year with no lift and no problems rubbing. If you're about the looks of your JK having the 4.5 backspacing lines up the tires nicely with the outside edge of the stock fenders so you might want to think about spacers.

I have these tires 285/70/17 they are 33's load range d. They also make 33. 12.50 17 but I 'm not sure i need the extra whith. Anyway you will need spacers other wise look at the 255 80 17 that they make for the km2

I have 33" mtg's

they are 33x11.5x17's

they only rub at when I turn my jeeps tires all the way to one side.
I can live with that easy.
