33's with 3:73 gears
I ran 3.73's on my last jeep with 33's and was not happy. It was an auto trans and it was OK with stock tires. I do not do any hard core rock crawling either, but even on small hills I wanted the 4.10's. I am not sure how the MPGs will differ between the 4.10s and 3.73s.
Of course, the 6-speed Wrangler comes from the factory with 32" tires and 3.21 gears, so increasing tire diameter to 33" on 3.73s should still give you better performance than those with 3.21s

Mine has 3.21's with the 29inch tires. Whenever I use those gearing calculators it says if I want the same performance with 33inch tires to up to 3.73's. So, I guess not counting added weight, you'd probably be performing much like a base X.
Mine with the 3.73s is by no means a dog! The main thing that bothers me is how much the overdrive kicks off at around 70 on interstate as I do alot of hwy driving. (isn't as bad without cruise on by the way, but I paid for cruise and want to use it). If you don't go over 70 very much, and not gonna drive alot of hills I think you'll be surprised at how it drives. Around town, I don't really notice any power loss, just the fuel consumption in worse.
I also know I'm gonna add exhaust, an intake and the hypertech programmer whenever they release it. Not to mention I still need my speedo recalibrated. After all that we'll talk about the 3.73s again.
I have an 08 with 3.73 gears and auto trans. I put 33s on and only notice it on the highway. I get around 15 mpg overall using manual calculation.
On highway hills around 70 mph, the overdrive will kick in and out. One way to cure this is to drive with the overdrive off. It is better on the transmission and the rpms are around 2700. This V6 likes to rev higher anyway. Gas milage is actually better since I have been driving without overdrive. I can now keep up with the drivers in the "fast lane" with plenty of power at 70 to 80 mph.

You won't be happy with 4.10's either...
My '07 4.10 auto w/ 32's is a dog on hills. My problem is mine won't downshift, it just bogs/slows/down til I pop the pedal and force it to downshift(or I turn OD off). My X came w/29's and I put 32's on it. I had the speedo dealer re-cal'd and now calculated mpg is ~16.5 overall DD.
