I've got 275's and wished I had gotten bigger tires now that I'm about to get a lift. I say go bigger and wider!

I went from 255's to 265's and wished I'd gotten 35's. As soon as the opportunity presented itself, I upgraded!

The 305/70R17 or the 295/70R17 are in the big 33 or small 35 range. Kind of a 34 size a good in-between size. I have run the 295/70R17 Toyo M/T and 35 BFG KM2's on my 07 JKU and liked them both.

I just ordered a set of the 295 Toyos for my new 2012 JKU. Wanting to keep this Jeep a little smaller since I do more street than trail anymore and am trying to keep the mileage and performance up. Even though the 12's new engine has power to spare.

Here's a good thread on the 295's https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...res-Badass-IMO

In the end if you think you will be unable to resist going bigger just go 35's and enjoy it.

Go with 35's. I would look at something other than pro comp. Much better choices for the money...

I had the procomp extreme m/t 33's for a year and then went to Goodyear wrangler m/ t kelvars in 35x12.5/17 on stock moabs. The pro comps were ok, the Goodyear kelvars are simply incredible!

255/75R17 = 32.05"
295/70R17 = 33.25"
305/70R17 = 33.81"
315/70R17 = 34.36"
35x12.50R17 = 34.77"
37x12.50R17 = 37.03"

Make and model may make the measurements different as would rim width.

I ran the Pro Comp Xtreme Mud Terrains on my last JKU and really liked them. Just an FYI right now if you buy X 4 33's you get a $100.00 rebate or if you go with 35's $150.00 rebate. Even though the $100.00-$150.00 rebate isn't a bad deal if I were going to purchase them again I would wait until they have the buy 3 get 1 free sale that pops up a couple times a year. That is a much better deal than the rebate incentive...

I second the Good Year compared to the Pro Comp. Not much price difference either if you shop around and can find the Good Years in stock!
