It's noticeable, but not terribly bad.
I also have a 2dr rubi with manual trans, and first went to 33's, then later up to 35s.
I definately wouldn't want to have any gears lower than the 4.10s though. Eventually I'll change to 4.88s.
If you are on the freeway in a good headwind or going up a decent incline, 6th will be useless. Steep incline, like on freeways going up mountain passes... downshift to 4th.

Part of the equation is which 35's you select. It's not just about the difference in diameter, there can be up to 15-20 lbs difference in weight between different tires.

Weight has been a big factor for me a I'm picking out my new 35's.... KM2's are 64 or so lbs. Mud grapplers are 84 lbs ... Going with the KM2's hopefully can put off regearing for a while

I still find even with a 33x12.50 any decent inclines 6th is done and I always had to shift to 3rd or 4th on steep mountain passes. With the Superchips it has reduced the amount of shifting on step inclines.

Weight of tires will help....but add a superchips it may make it tolerable

He said it's a Rubicon, so I assumed 4.10.

Yeah....that's what I was thinking....it's not about size, it's about weight.

I have 35" Pro Comp MT's (65 lbs ea) and 4:10 gears with the manual trans.
It drives BETTER than it did on stock tires. Yeah they hum but I like it.

No loss of power here, climbs the same hills in the same gears it did on stock BFG's. I am at sea level, well 12 feet above the seawall.

I can actually stay in a single gear for more than 1/2 a second in town now.

Gearing with 4:10's is too low on stock tires. Feels much better on 35's.
6th on the highway is fine.
