Default 33's problems?

Anyone having problems with a 33 mounted on a stock spare tire carrier? Also I have mounted 33 on stock 17 inch rim, I have a 2 inch lift and get some tire rubbing when I have to turn sharp. Will I need some spacers?

You can take care of the rubbing with the Steering Stop mod..

Wheel spacers will stop the rubbing issues.

what does the tire carrier have to do with rubbing while turning sharply?

where is it rubbing? I have zero rub, but I removed my front air dam. I'm guessing that's where you're rubbing. just trim the air dam or remove it.

Tire carrier will be fine. The rubbing is on that stupid little plastic air dam hanging down from your bumper. Either trim it up or take it off, whatever works best for you. But if you take it off you will need a way to keep the hood from dancing on the highway as the dam keeps air from running up into the engine bay.

With 11.5" wide tires you will rub on the sway bar end links at full lock.

Two washers on each steering stop and you should be clear..If not add a third..MUCH cheaper than wheel spacers that you will probably get rid of in the future.

No it doesn't. I had 6K miles on my Jeep with that piece of junk on there and my hood had learned to do the boogie and was working on the do-whop-whiddie. It did not make a bit of difference after I pulled it off and before installing the Shrockworks front bumper (which includes a real skid plate down there) on hood dance or gas mileage (at least that I could detect using methods available to the layman).

No problem with 11.5" (do the Steering Stop mod.), but if you have 12.5" you will have to buy wheel spacers OR offset rims
