Default 34's???

I saw a JK on 34's the other day (305/70/17's) and it looked just right to me. What are our options for 34" tires? I'm not having much luck looking around, partly because I don't know the various metric sizes for the various rim sizes. So, whatcha got?

I think there's some room for interpretation here. And, I think I've only seen one other tire that's literally listed as 34" tall.

Normally, a '35' is really 34.5 inches tall. Many '33s' are shorter than 33 inches.

So, what's more than a '33', and less than a '34'?
Try 295/70/17s. There usually listed as 33.5 or so.

I'd like to go with the Maxxis because it's about the biggest I can comfortable fit on my stock rims, and I don't want 35s due to my 3.73 gears. I'm sure with the Maxxis tires I'll really hurt for 4.88s anyway.

Yeah, I agree there. Really I am trying to stick to a pretty tight budget. I'm gonna do the TF BB, and I feel like 33's don't quite fill out the wheel well enough, but MAN, the 35's are pricey. Plus, do I buy wheels or just use the stockers.... So many decisions.

I've been running the Maxxis Bighorns for the past year in 305/70/17's and I love them. This is a pretty good size for a 2" or 2.5" BB type lift. The price is pretty good too. They'll be coming off this week though. I'm going up to 37's!!!

Here's an older pic.
