Default Which 35-inch Tires?

If this thread already exists, please link me...

Wanting to know:
- what 35" tires are you running?
- what do they actually measure height wise?
- how do they sound on the road/highway
- how do they perform on the trails?
- pictures are a bonus.

Cheers.

I have 35" KM2's
I measured the other day, mounted with 32psi, the top of the tire stands at 34.2 ish. im sure if i measured my spare it'd be at 35.
I really like the KM2's. great traction on the loose stuff and good traction on the rocks. Road noise isnt bad at all, a little hum with the doors off, but cant hear at all with the top and doors closed.
However, when i go to 37's, I have been looking at the goodyear MTR's. But have heard that they are a lot heavier, something i really dont need. And have heard they dont squish much when aired down.

35 nitto mud grapplers, can't remember exactly how high they measure but I know it's under 35.

They're super loud... Always. (highway/hard top/ city etc..)

Great on the trails diggin in the mud but literally useless in a dusting of snow.

I have the Dick Cepek Mud Country.
34.9
Very Loud...and I love it.
Very Good on the trails. I would by them next time if they made a 37 hahaha.

One thing I would recommend is to buy a tire that is a multi-directional tire. Easy to rotate yourself, if need be.

I had 315/70r17 of the Kelly Safaris on my 2011 before I traded it. My only complaint is that they run small like the Duratracs. My supposed 35 inch Kellys ran about 33.5" and it bugged me.

Other than that, they are very light weight, very very little noise, ride smooth, and have pretty damn good traction. For the price, these tires are unbeatable.

I have had duratracs on a ZJ, but never measured them out. But I do know that they run small as well. But they too have great traction, long life, very quiet, and light weight.

While I only had 33's, I have to chime in with the Toyo open country MT. I feel they are some of the best made MTs out there. Awfully quiet considering the tread, they wore very well, were true to size, balanced well and performed well. They are quite heavy, though.

Toyo specs the LT315/75R16 (35x12.30) as 34.9" tall and 76lbs.

I haven't run this tire yet, but it will be my next set in a couple weeks. Nice to hear they run true to size

Mickey Thompson MTZ. Amazing in snow and mud Look good and are fairly quiet. 35s are 34.5. 40000km on them and not even 50% worn. I would buy again. I also use them all winter
