Default 35" on order, Now what?

Quick question, I want to put 35" tires on my 2 dr Rubicon with 3" lift and need to know if I to trim rock rales & pinch seam in the rear?

If so, how are you guys doing this?

Thanks,

Dave

After you cut those seams, take a sander and smooth them so no sharp edges. Prime and paint them and you will be good to go.

I used a grinder on the pinch seam; not the best weapon for the job but it just took time.

I also used "3m 4200 Fast Cure" to seal the gap in the pinch seam. It worked excellently with no running. This stuff is made to be used under the waterline on boats so I figured it can take the abuse. Highly recommended.

I didn't have rubi rails so I didn't have to worry about that.. my 35's sit about an inch or so from the pinch seam and when i hit a bump they travel up and back so I am not worried about them hitting the seam since if the tire goes forward I have broken control arms (much bigger problem than a flat tire)... not sure if the rubi rails are a problem though

I rubbed my front air dam at full lock with my set up (2.5 inch lift 3.75 bs) ... some people just remove it but I unbolted the front (which is a pain to do without breaking the plastic rivits) and just used a hacksaw to cut the fins off the left and right and then bolted it back up

Is anyone else running 35" without trimming pinch seal?

I'm running hmmwv "37s" with 2.5" lift and haven't trimmed anything? Pictures in my profile and my avatar is also that current setup.

For what its worth, I do plan on flat fenders and 1" body lift! Just haven't cut and installed these yet! No rub ANYWHERE though!
