Yeah...I have to hop in here with a similar question. I currently have a 2" BB with Superlift shocks. I am running 33's and it looks to me like I have PLENTY OF SPACE for 35's. I get great flex on my 33's. I have set a Gatorade bottle on the tire before and its not even touching the fender. I am eventually getting a stubby bumper (the bumper to me looks like the biggest issue.) Anyhow, I posted in another thread and several people said NO WAY that it will have almost no flex...I can't believe that, I mean look at the pic, there is like 7-8 inches to the fender and those are 33's on it now. I think I'm going to chop the fenders btw. So, here's a pic...what do you guys think??? Give me some feedback please, cuz I think it will work without chop, but definitely with chop. Opinions, criticisms, comments please. Thanks.

chop the fenders and you should be able to wihout any problems.
alot of people run 35's with just a 2 1/2" BB, maybe add a bodylift for that extra little bit of fender clearence. another option is if your jk is an X model you could add 4 door rubicon springs to gain a little more lift. i hear people gaining 1 1//2' in the front and 1' in the rear. i know a couple of people that are selling rubicon springs.
your bumper will have to be stubbed or replaced, you might be able to find someone selling or giving one away so you won't have to cut yours.

with the xenon flares and a 1'' body lift i think mine flex's pretty good.

i think 2"bb and chopped fenders would work, i still rub at full flex but it's not bad at all.

hope this helps a little

Larry

oh man... i think i just heard my wallet yelp a little bit.
i know alot of people running the TF 2 1/2"bb and 35's on stock rubicon wheels with spacers, i also know someone who has the TF 2 1/2" bb and a 1" body lift with the stock rubi wheels and spacers and they just cut their front fenders for extra clearence. i think alot has to do with the bump stops as far as rubbing.

Here is a photo of the 2" superlift BB with 35s, I really like the way it looks at that height, but it would never work off the pavement. IMO.

Yeah...that doesn't look like it would work to good. BUT, I have to say...his fenders are NOT chopped and he has a stock bumper. I still think with a fender chop and a stubby that would look OK ('cept for the ugly rims imo) I have heard the fender chop gives about 3 1/2" of clearance. Anyone have a pic of a BB with fender chop and 35's?

way to crowded for my taste but he would have to go with a stock bumper aftermarket is heavy. for 35" nothing looks better than a 4" on 35" in my opinion

I'm actually wondering if a partial chop of the fenders would work. I've got 35's on a 3.5 lift (I'm actually at 4") and plan on going to 37's soon. Looking at the front fenders - what about cutting just enough to eliminate the front marker light - which is about 1/2" down from the point the fender turns down. And it's up 2 1/2" up from the bottom of the fender. It would look decent, still provide good mud and rain slinging protection, and give an additional 2 1/2" of clearance. I could go with the Xenon's but they just don't look quite right to me. And the Bushwackers just plain took an ugly pill - what were they thinking?

This is a great thread and inspired me to run for 6 months with 35s, no lift and trimmed fenders, but with a few buddies and camping gear loaded up, it rubs. It doesnt at all when riding alone. Here's the last pic of mine with no lift, before a Teraflex 2.5" lift goes on next week.
